Dear Parents/Guardian,
The main objective of the education system is to raise highly skillful,
productive and creative individuals who are committed to democratic
values and open to new ideas. Such individuals will have the feeling of
personal responsibility, assimilate in them the national culture and shall
prove to be responsible citizens of the country.
We, at Sachdeva Public School, understand well this responsibility.
We believe in all round development of the personality of our students
keeping in view the present day requirements. Besides the textbook
knowledge, we provide them with sufficient input to understand, adopt
and follow the rich Indian heritage, culture and traditions which have
been appreciated and acclaimed all over the globe.
The current issue of our school’s magazine “The Quest” has ‘Indian
Architecture’ as its theme. Heritage is something which we receive
from our ancestors. It incorporates everything physical and nonphysical,
thoughts, learning and . It, therefore, includes
music and theatre, philosophy and literature, sages’ thoughts and
scriptures, art and architecture formed, enunciated and developed in the
historical past and are a great legacy from our ancestors. Heritage is,
therefore, something which we call our own and for which we shall be
always proud. Sharing of knowledge about such culture and heritage
is, therefore, a
matter of pride, prestige and is beneficial for all. Our
school has taken the initiative to share the knowledge about Indian
architecture covering ancient monuments both well known and well
cared for viz.
Taj Mahal and Khajuraho Temples etc. and less known
and less cared for viz. Humayun Tomb and Chittor Fort
etc. These monuments have majestic look, artistic
beauty and grand architectural layouts which really
prove to be a feast to the eyes of the viewers. I,
therefore, congratulate the Principal, staff and
students for this innovative and noble endeavour
which shall be quite informative and inspiring for
the readers.
Wish you all a very Happy New Year and all
the best to the students who are appearing at the
Board’s Examinations in March, 2010.
